Do You Support Unix and ASP.NET?
No, our servers are not set up to support Unix or ASP.NET applications.
What should I consider when deciding on a hosting package?
When considering a hosting solution, you should first consider the amount of storage your website requires. If you’re storing a lot of images, large documents or website pages, you’ll want to ensure that you have sufficient storage space for your present needs, as well as sufficient storage space for future growth. If you’re planning to run a Forum or have exceptionally large file sizes, you will most certainly want to consider an expanded bandwidth package, depending upon the number of visitors and page loads you have per day. Secondly, you should ensure that the number of Email accounts that your package includes will be sufficient for your companies’ needs. Finally, you will want to ensure that the control panel used to manage your site is functional and easy for you to use and understand.
I am already hosting with another company, what should I take into account before transferring my existing website?
The first consideration is ensuring that you have “Authority” over your domain name. Unfortunately, some hosting services that include a domain name as part of the package never actually give you ownership of the rights to the name. You are, in effect, held hostage if you want to maintain your company domain name. Secondly, you will want to ensure that you can transfer your existing site’s content to our servers. In most instances, we will assist with this task. We don’t recommend changing your DNS Address until such time as your site is uploaded, tested, and fully operational on our servers.
What Control Panel will you be providing?
We us cPanel for user based website management. It is one of the most advanced, yet easy-to-use, platforms for website management on the market. Our cPanel package offers advanced features and benefits outlined within our web hosting section.
cPanel is a user interface that is included in your account. Similar to Windows software, it provides a platform on which users can easily manage and perform functions necessary to make the hosting “Operating System” work the way they intend it to. This makes it quite simple and easy to install scripts, sub-domains, Email addresses and many other versatile options.
When you’ve registered a domain with a registrar, you are usually recording a “right to use” of a top level domain for a specific time period. A top-level domain is “http://www.yourdomain.prefix” (.com, .us, .info, etc.). A sub-domain is considered by search engines to be a “unique” domain name. By creating a sub-domain through your control panel, you now have “http://subdomain.yourdomain.prefix” as a totally unique domain name in which you can create a unique website.
Yes, our standard hosting package includes the ability to create multiple sub-domains
Almost all websites built today do not require a Windows based Server. Unless your site was specifically programmed to be used in the Windows server environment, you should be able to use the standard Linux based server. If you’re unsure, ask you website developer. If you developed the site yourself, it is probable that you will be able to use our Linux based server.
What is Bandwidth and How will you be measuring it?
Bandwidth is the amount of data that is transferred to/from your website. Each time that a page is viewed, there is a small amount of data that is downloaded from you website. The data includes: pictures, text, flash, logos, multimedia, etc. The amount of bandwidth that your website will use will depend upon the number of pages loaded vs. the size of the files that make up pages.

In these rare instances, it can take up to 24 hours to complete the setup. When Do I Change over my Nameservers?
A Nameserver is a computer that directs web surfers to web servers that are hosting websites. For brand new domains and websites, you should set your DNS address immediately. ns11.seoking.com

In your cPanel, you will find a section called “Fantastico”. These are auto-installing scripts, which will provide you with step-by-step help to fill in the blank forms for setup.
